It’s hard enough to come up with good ideas for a healthy lunch for your back to school crowd, but it also has to be one that they will eat. The final thing you need to be concerned with is the safety of the food you pack for lunch each day.
Decide on a party theme. The planning will be so much easier once you’ve finalized what motif is preferred by your child. Start looking for items that are related to the theme you have in mind.
Most pumpkins should be planted in spring when the temperature stays above sixty degrees Fahrenheit. However, make sure that it doesn’t freeze after you plant your pumpkins because this could end up killing them. If you think it might freeze, then try placing some anti static plastic bags over your pumpkins to keep them warm. This will work for a light freeze, but a hard freeze will still kill the plants. So be careful about your timing. As for sunlight, try and keep your pumpkins in partial sun.
Now, make your list. Shopping 101 tells us NEVER to shop hungry and NEVER shop without a list. Put a ‘C’ or some other mark next to the items on your list that you have coupons for. This will remind you to use the coupon. A handy idea is to write your list on an envelope and put your coupons in the envelope. Easier to handle that way.
Have you noticed how many products contain lemon? Lemons have natural antiseptic and antibacterial properties that can be used all over the house. Add lemon to white vinegar to disinfect the bathroom, refrigerator, countertops, or whatever you are disinfecting. Squeeze it into a dishpan filled with warm water and a dash of white vinegar to clean your dishes. Add some baking soda to the mix to scour pots and pans.
2d. If you’re like me, you want the healthiest food you can get for your new little ball of fur. Many name-brand cat foods are actually full of product fillers, such as ground corn. These types of things aren’t good for your cat! When you’re buying your kitten new food, try to search for a product that has some type of meat for the first ingredient. If you can’t, the next step is to look for a product with meat as one of the first five ingredients. These should be lamb, chicken, turkey, beef, etc – if ANY of them are listed as a “meat by-product,” you might want to look elsewhere! Meat by-products are generally the rejects of the meat that companies didn’t want to use for ‘people-food.’ Of course, this is all personal preference – just do whatever works best for you and your kitten.
Buy the best backpack that you can afford, and try to buy it from a store that specialises in outdoor activities. Ask the advice of the shop staff, especially if they are hikers or backpackers themselves. Some stores will actually pack a backpack for you, so you can get a feel for it and see how comfortable (or not) it is.
#7: Compost! Composting enriches the soil, reduces landfill pollution, and can even clean up contaminated soil. The U.S. EPA estimates that the equivalent of 20 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions could be prevented each and every year if 100% of American’s food waste was composted. 20 MILLION TONS, folks!!! Now if that’s not an incentive to be greener!!
